Yes, I started putting up our Christmas decos...

I can't help it...I got out our Christmas decorations yesterday afternoon! Christmas is my absolute FAVORITE time of the year and we are going to be in NKY this year, so I wanted to enjoy the decorations for as long as possible. The house smells like apple cinnamon and baked cookies...yummy!!

(PS-Franklin is our dog.)

Internet

So Josh is heading out to North Carolina for a couple of days for work, and he has to take our laptop. He told me last night as we were going to bed, and suddenly I felt a bit "panicked". I mean, really? Do I depend on having access to the world wide web that much that I actually think, "what am I going to do without it?" Now that I've adjusted to the idea, I think it's going to be a nice little break. I mean, seriously, I can walk to the Library if I have to have a fix. :)

8 months old today!

Yes...it's true, Adeline is 8 months old today! We are also celebrating Mams & Gramps birthdays as well (Josh's parents). Happy birthday Mams & Gramps!!

What she's up to now:
-saying "mama", "dada", and bahbah"
-two little teeth are starting to appear (haven't broken through just yet though)
-loves listening to music and playing on her blanket in the living room
-eats 3 meals a day with solids foods
-she is very ticklish on her belly, so of course, we love to tickle her and hear her laugh!
-still pretty content sitting up, not very interested in crawling just yet (I'm glad about that!)
-sleeps from 7pm-7am (woohoo!!)

She is pretty much one happy little girl!

Tonight...

I just got home from dinner with the girls. I have such fun neighbors! We went to Don Pablos and I drank 2 Diet cokes w/lime! I haven't had that much caffeine since pre-pregnancy. I know, I know...I'm sooo wild and crazy. Adeline came along with us. She was a trooper, but she's definitely becoming more active at restaurants. She wants to grab everything and drop it on the ground. Especially breakable dishes!

Now, as I listen to her breathe on the monitor, my heart just feels so full. I have to say there is nothing like that sweet sound. I don't know why God chose me to be her momma, but I'm so glad He did. I pray that I love her the way He wants me to. She's such a gift. I only have her for a short time, and I hope and pray that she learns to love the Lord with all her heart. She is His. Sometimes I start to worry too much about her, and then I'm reminded that He is in control. He made Adeline and He has a plan for her life. He loves her much more than I can ever love her...now that's an overwhelming love.

Thank you God for my little girl. :)

New Orleans

Josh had a training conference in New Orleans this past week, so Adeline ad I went along with him. We had so much fun! The weather wasn't the best. It rained every day we were there but one. So, on Monday (the dry day) we walked around the French Quarters. I have to say we didn't see many babies there...we were probably the only ones with a 7 month old!

It was fun being together. I had a blast laughing with Josh. He's probably the funniest person I know!

Apple Orchard

Saturday, we headed north to Alpharetta to watch Trey play soccer, Kearston play softball, and then on up to Ellijay to pick apples with the fam. What a beautiful day it was! Phil and his three kids joined us as well. Adeline was a trooper! She LOVED watching the kids laugh and play. Here are a few pics from the day.

Lately...

So it's been a while since I've written. What a fun couple of weeks we've have had!

Adeline and I went to NKY to visit my family. It was a lot of fun! We celebrated my mom and dad's birthdays and hung out with my siblings. Adeline loved laughing with my fam and got some new fall clothes from Nanaw! We also got her Halloween costume...she's going to be a giraffe. She's adorable in it!

Josh went camping at Red Top Mountain in North Georgia with a few of his friends while we were out of town. He had a good time, but picked a bad weekend to go...it rained the entire time, so they weren't able to do too much. On Sunday, they all went to a Thrashers hockey game, and were asked to put on "sumo" suits to play in a little game during half time. He said it was hilarious! They lost but had an awesome time.

I'm so glad Fall is here! Adeline and I have been taking walks everyday and loving the weather. We are going apple picking tomorrow...hope the rain holds off!
